Monochromatic: The Anthropomorphic World

This is the core of my practice—a world populated by anthropomorphic residents that exist at the intersection of line and shadow. By stripping away color, the focus centers entirely on the quiet drama and distinct personalities of the characters inhabiting these forms. Whether through standalone sculptural figures or narrative illustrations on functional porcelain, these pieces use black underglaze to bring out a world that is part Edward Gorey whimsical, part traditional folk art, and entirely curious.
