Atmospheric: Soda, and Wood Firing

This space is dedicated to the alchemy of the kiln and the intentional surrender of control. I am drawn to the primitive, physical act of working closely with fire—peeking into the white-hot atmosphere and witnessing the transformation of clay at various stages of the firing. Unlike the calculated lines of my illustrated work, these pieces are a visceral collaboration with the environment.
