About Lazy Dragon

Geetha Yedurappa is an engineer turned ceramic artist from South India, now based in Georgia. Her practice is a study of the intersection between technical discipline and whimsical narrative, treating clay as both a structural vessel and an illustrative canvas.

Growing up amidst the vibrant folk traditions of India, Geetha's work is deeply shaped by cultural memory, now filtered through a monochromatic, often macabre lens influenced by the likes of Edward Gorey and Indian folk art. Whether hand-building a sculptural inhabitant or illustrating a functional ritual, she moves slowly and intentionally, allowing the character of the piece to emerge from the clay.

The name Lazy Dragon Ceramics is a tribute to her family—specifically her son, born in the Year of the Dragon—whose curiosity and storytelling fuel her imagination. Under the moniker The Uncertain Maker, she continues to explore the alchemy of fire through atmospheric kiln-firing and the evolving language of digital-traditional craft.
